The key findings were that personalized items have been the most popular and that average selling price has declined, i.e., consumers are going for less expensive items. The study consisted of analyzing data over two time periods: (1) The past year from June 25, 2011 to June 25, 2012 and (2) The past 5 years from June 25, 2007 to June 25, 2012. The information used was gathered from website analytics and sales data.

Over the past year, 98% of buyers purchased baby shower favors on the day of their first visit. 9 out of 10 best-selling items were personalized items. The average selling price was $1.54 and 8 out of 10 best sellers were priced at $2.00 or under.

Over the past 5 years, 89% of buyers purchased on the day of their first visit, while 6% of buyers waited at least a week before purchasing. 9 out of 10 best-selling items were personalized items. The average selling price was $2.30 and 5 out of 10 best sellers were priced at $2.00 and under.
