'My Best Little Buddy' Author Adds a New Twist to Fundraising Efforts for Nashville Cat Rescue and Other Pet Rescues
Tom Templeman opens book signings to online participation and special events, plus a year-end drawing
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Innovating outside the box to expand sales to outlying areas, Nashville-based author Tom Templeman has opened up all book signing events for his first book, My Best Little Buddy, to online participation for anyone who cannot attend a book signing event in person. Plus, all buyers can nominate their favorite rescue group for a year-end drawing to win a year-end donation from the author.

"It is a win-win for all parties," says Templeman. "Nashville Cat Rescue gets 20% of the profits from all book sales. The online purchase form has a notes area where they can request a special dedication from the author, as well as enter the name of their favorite rescue in the year-end drawing described below.
The year-end drawing is an opportunity for any rescue group across the USA to receive a year-end cash donation from the self-published author. "I am putting an extra $1 per book sold aside into a fund this year. Each time someone buys a book, he/she can give us the name and contact info for their favorite rescue, and we will enter them into a drawing. At the end of the year, we'll draw the winner and they will receive the total pot from the $1/book sold for 2015. If this catches fire, who knows how big that check will be!"
