N3 Notary Launches 'Reach Hire' to Enable Companies to Meet Form I-9 Compliance for Remote Hires
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- N3 Notary, the leading provider of a nationwide network of mobile notaries specializing in Form I-9 compliance for remote hires, today announce Reach Hire, a simple and effective service that enable companies to meet Form I-9 compliance for their remote hires.
One of the largest problems with remote hires is meeting the face to face requirements of the Form I-9.To meet compliance standards employers must physically examine the employee's ID, or appoint an authorized agent to act on behalf to the hiring company. Those companies who do not meet the requirement can face penalties and fines ranging from $110 – $1,100 per occurrence.
To meet these requirements, companies often direct the employee to locate a notary and have them complete the Form I-9; however the results can be problematic as most notaries are not trained in Form I-9 compliance and complete the form incorrectly, or flat out refuse to complete it. Not only does this lead to a frustrating on-boarding process for the remote hire, it leaves HR departments scrambling to find a way to meet organizational and compliance standards.
N3 Notary provides a nationwide network of mobile notaries, which eliminates the problems associated with completing the Form I-9 remotely. Companies are able to place service requests through N3 Notary's online web portal. The request is then assigned to a notary that will call the employee, set up a date, time and location to meet. They will physically examine the employee's ID, assist in competing section 1, properly record the employee's ID and certify section 2 of the Form I-9.
Once the meeting is complete the notary will collect the Form I-9 and securely upload it to N3 Notary's secure web server, where an N3 Notary representative will examine the Form I-9 to insure that it has been filled out correctly. The Form I-9 is then able to be securely downloaded through the company's online account.
