VANCOUVER, Dec. 14, 2012 /CNW/ - Nabob Coffee Company is celebrating its re-invention with the introduction of three innovative new BOLD blends developed specifically for sophisticated and discerning Canadian coffee connoisseurs - the award winning Midnight Eclipse, Gastown Grind, and Full City Dark.
Nabob BOLD Midnight Eclipse receives prestigious Superior Taste Award
The new Nabob BOLD Midnight Eclipse received a stamp of quality in taste from the International Taste and Quality Institute (ITQI) Superior Taste Award, scoring two out of three stars, deeming it a "remarkable brew". The Superior Taste Award is likened to the "Michelin Guide of Food and Drink" where products are rewarded based on their own merit. Products are individually blind tested by a panel of judges composed of members of the most prestigious culinary institutions of Europe such as, the Maîtres Cuisiniers of Belgium and France.
Products are evaluated based on their aroma, flavour, appearance, and after-taste. In particular, ITQI noted that it is exceptional to have reached such a high score for a product not yet in market as many brands take years perfecting their product before entering it into this competition.
"There is an art to roasting the perfect BOLD coffee and with our new blends we wanted to marry the subtle flavours, cocoa, citrus, smoky, caramel, that really bring the coffee to life in the cup," said Jenn Castro, Nabob Roast Master "Our new BOLD blends are about bringing out the very best in each bean of coffee we roast."
New BOLD Blends Created for Canadians
In addition to Nabob's award-winning BOLD Midnight Eclipse, the coffee company introduced two other BOLD blends - Gastown Grind and Full City Dark.
Gastown Grind - Medium Bold Roast
In 1896 the Nabob Coffee Co. was founded in Gastown, a quaint neighbourhood in Vancouver B.C. that's rich in history and personality. Its namesake, our new Gastown Grind blend, is a bold brew full of nutty and caramelly flavours roasted to perfection.
Full City Dark - Dark Bold Roast
This previously enjoyed blend has now moved into the BOLD lineup, as it is our darkest roast! An authentically rich, full city dark roast - it cannot contain its smoky, full-bodied flavour that is velvety smooth.
More New Nabob Offerings
In addition to the BOLD lineup, the Nabob Coffee Company also recently launched a trio of single origin Whole Bean coffees - 100% Colombian, Costa Rica and Guatemala.
