NACON Awarded $4 Million Contract by U.S. Army Chief Information Officer (CIO)

NACON to Serve as Prime Contractor in Support of the U.S. Army Information Assurance Virtual Training Classroom

ANNAPOLIS, Md., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- NACON Consulting, LLC, announced today it was awarded a contract by the United States Army CIO to provide support services for the interactive U.S. Army Information Assurance Virtual Training Classroom (IAVTC). The contract has a one- year base period of performance and two one-year options. The total contract value, including both option years, is $4.4 million. Work on this contract will be performed primarily at NACON's Annapolis facility.

NACON provides enterprise cyber security training solutions for the Defense community. They offer a Learning Management System and integrated Virtual Lab environment that allow students to experience the benefits of schoolhouse training wherever they are. This comprehensive, hands-on training provides students with practical real-world experience delivered through a secure and flexible online environment.

For the past 8 years, NACON has been performing much of the work identified in this newly won contract as a subcontractor. In winning this contract, NACON will use their Distance Learning expertise to support the Army CIO's extensive cyber security training mission, providing project management, course and virtual lab development, help desk support and technical support.
