Nantucket Island & The Westmoor Club Co-Host First Annual Book Festival June 15-17, 2012
NANTUCKET, Mass., June 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Westmoor Club Nantucket, nestled high on a hill with breathtaking views, exclusive and private, boasts 15 acres of meticulously groomed gardens, exceptionally designed facilities, and stately amenities, today announced its enthusiasm about being part of Nantucket Island's First Book Festival.
The Nantucket Book Festival will host a weekend of panel discussions, talks and readings for adults and children by island and 'off' island writers June 15 - 17.
"Nantucket has a storied literary culture indeed, and we're excited to celebrate and share it. This year we're drawing upon the amazing people and places of our island to create a multi-day cultural event commemorating the rich literary resources of Nantucket's past, present, and future," said Wendy Hudson, creator, Nantucket Book Festival. Festival events over the three days will take place at the Dreamland Studio Theater and Harborview Room, the Nantucket Historical Association Whaling Museum, Unitarian Church, Nantucket Bookworks, Mitchell's Book Corner, the Nantucket Atheneum Great Hall and garden, The Westmoor Club, Cisco Brewery/Triple 8 Distillery.
