Napp Moves Into Top 5 in Sunday Times Best Companies List

CAMBRIDGE, England, March 5, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Napp Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited, based in Cambridge, has risen to position 5 in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For and remains the highest ranked pharmaceutical company in the UK. This success comes only a few weeks after the company became one of only 50 companies in the UK to be awarded 3 stars by Best Companies through their accreditation scheme. Both the Sunday Times Top 100 and the Best Companies accreditation scheme recognise excellence in employee engagement, and both are derived from the results of the Best Companies survey.

This is the fourth year that Napp has entered the awards, but despite the competition becoming tougher each time, with 347 organisations applying for inclusion in the mid-size companies list this year, Napp has remained consistently successful. Number 5 is Napp's highest ranking to date, having appeared 9th, 12th and 11th, respectively, over the previous 3 years.

Napp uses the Best Companies survey results each year to continue to evolve their culture, which puts people at the heart of the organisation, aiming to support each individual to perform at their best and take personal responsibility for the success of the business. Napp scored highly in all areas assessed by the survey, particularly in the areas of 'my company', 'my team', 'fair deal' and 'leadership'. Headline results include:
