Nashville Commercial Expands Across State, Introduces New Name
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Nashville Commercial | Cushman & Wakefield announced today that it is expanding its operations into Knoxville and Chattanooga and, reflective of the expansion, changing the company's name, according to Warren Smith, chief executive officer.
The firm's name will become Cushman & Wakefield | Cornerstone Commercial Real Estate Services, an independently owned and operated member of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance, effective October 1st, with headquarters remaining in Nashville.
Smith said the name change reflects not only the opening of two East Tennessee offices but also the increasing collaboration between the firm's Tennessee operations and Cushman & Wakefield. The firm has been associated with Cushman & Wakefield since 2002 when it became one of the original six firms in the nation to become part of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance. Smith said the two companies are enhancing their cooperative operations, enhancing their capabilities on both the national/international and the local market levels.
The new offices, which will also be named Cushman & Wakefield | Cornerstone Real Estate Services, an independently owned and operated member of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance, are headed by David Barreutta in Chattanooga and four partners in Knoxville.
"We are rebranding ourselves as Cornerstone for several reasons," Smith said. "To reflect our history and the long-standing roles our initial founders continue to play in our day-to-day success; the now broader reach of our services beyond the Nashville market; and the knowledge of the industry and these markets, which has always been a hallmark of this firm."
In announcing the new offices, Smith said that the firm has looked at this expansion for a number of years, but was never able to find the professionals with the right mix of experience and culture to make it successful.
Barreutta comes with a strong history of commercial brokerage in Chattanooga and the added benefit of Cushman & Wakefield experience, since he began his career with the firm in Atlanta, GA.
The Knoxville office consists of eight established brokers from three separate firms. The Knoxville partners will be John Adams and Jim Holleman, formerly with Wood Properties; Justin Cazana with Commercial and Investment Properties; and Don Brewer with Realty Investments.
"We are thrilled to add these seasoned, well respected commercial brokers to our firm and to provide a higher level of service to our collective clients," Smith stated.
Cushman & Wakefield | Cornerstone Commercial Real Estate Services, an independently owned and operated member of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance, is a full-service commercial real estate firm specializing in office, industrial brokerage, property management, valuation services, as well as land and investment sales. The firm leases and/or manages 50 properties totaling more than six million square feet of commercial property in Tennessee.
