NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Nashville attorneys A.J. Bahou and Sam Miller announce the opening of Bahou Miller PLLC. Bahou is experienced in trials, mediations and is a registered patent attorney who practices in electrical and computer engineering technologies, blockchain, data privacy, SaaS agreements, cryptocurrencies and intellectual property law, including litigation of patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets. Miller, who left his positions as equity shareholder and chair of Baker Donelson's Intellectual Property Litigation team to found Bahou Miller, has been lead counsel on behalf of a wide range of clients from individuals to Fortune 500 companies in nearly 150 patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, online defamation, right of publicity and technology-related cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States. The new firm will have three attorneys initially, including new associate Nick Valenti. The firm plans further expansion for the new year in 2018.
Both Bahou and Miller are excited about the prospects of growing their practice in Nashville.

The new firm has extensive experience in all aspects of intellectual property, business litigation and advising. Bahou and Miller have represented and continue to represent clients in a variety of areas and technologies, such as consumer products, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, blockchain, smart meters, virtual reality, computer hardware, software, oil and gas equipment, pet products, obstacle course racing, Internet security systems and music.
Bahou earned an M.S. with honors in Electrical and Computer Engineering (focusing on Networking and Data Security) from The Johns Hopkins University. He is an M.B.A. graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and holds a B.S. in Engineering from Tennessee Tech University. He earned his J.D. and L.L.M. in Intellectual Property Law from the Franklin Pierce Law Center at the University of New Hampshire. Originally from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Bahou practiced in Washington, D.C., for several years at a 1,400-attorney international law firm representing Fortune 500 companies. Bahou is a board member of LaunchTN, chair of the Tennessee Bar Intellectual Property Law Executive Council and past president of the Tennessee Intellectual Property Law Association.
Miller earned a B.A. with honors in History from Xavier University and J.D. with honors from the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University. He has received many accolades for his work in intellectual property, including being named an "IP Star" in Managing Intellectual Property's IP Handbook (2013–2017), being listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in Intellectual Property Litigation (2015–2018) and Patent Litigation (2018) and being named a Mid-South Rising Star in Intellectual Property in 2008 and in Intellectual Property Litigation six times by Super Lawyers magazine. He served as the chair of the Intellectual Property Section of the Tennessee Bar Association from 2009–2010, 2011–2012 and 2015–2016.
