National Association of Independent Land Title Agents (NAILTA) Announces Change of Leadership
BATON ROUGE, La., June 15, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Association of Independent Land Title Agents (NAILTA) is pleased to announce that David A. LeClere is its new president. Mr. LeClere, an attorney from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is the third president of NAILTA.
Mr. LeClere has practiced real estate transactional law and civil litigation as well as oil & gas litigation in state and federal courts across Louisiana and various other states for over thirty years. His practice is now focused on real estate procurement, settlement, litigation and title curative actions.
Mr. LeClere succeeds Anthony Affatati, who worked tirelessly for NAILTA.
"Anthony's dedicated efforts made a significant impact on the title insurance industry, and he will be greatly missed by the members of our association," said LeClere.
Mr. LeClere assumes the presidency during a time of change for the title insurance, real estate and banking industries, as the new TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule goes into effect August 1, 2015.
"NAILTA looks forward to further promoting the value of independent title agents and consumer choice of settlement providers. Our posture will be to interface with other trade associations within the industry as well as to work with members of Congress on important issues pertinent to the title insurance and settlement services industry," said LeClere.
