National Foundation for Women Legislators Applauds Congress Broadband Priority
NFWL applauds Congress and urges FCC to shift focus from net neutrality regulation to broadband adoption and deployment
WASHINGTON, May 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Foundation for Women Legislators' President Robin Read applauded 74 members of Congress who joined on a letter urging the FCC to focus on broadband adoption and deployment.
"The National Foundation for Women Legislators is encouraged by the 74 members of Congress that united yesterday to make broadband adoption and deployment a priority. As women legislators, we are most concerned about ensuring that every American has access to broadband service technology and its inherent benefits to education, healthcare, the environment and our economy.
Members of Congress have shown great leadership by joining together to discourage the Federal Communications Commission from imposing regulations on broadband that will slow deployment, delay access, and jeopardize job creation."
