LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Following a decision by D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals last Tuesday, American Internet users lost their consumer freedom on the web when the regulatory authority of the FCC was overturned. With mega monopolies Verizon and Comcast fighting to control all content and services, Internet users will soon be restricted from accessing competing services, such as streaming television and Internet phone (VOIP). In light of the Court's ruling, Los Angeles-based Internet Service Provider (ISP) vUnity, Inc. is speaking out in a statement Monday condemning the decision to eliminate consumer protections to the advantage of monopolies.

"Most consumers don't have a choice of their service provider, and now they don't even have a choice of how they use that Internet service," said Brian J. Brandon, CEO of vUnity, Inc.
vUnity, Inc. will continue to uphold its commitment to net-neutrality and issued the following statement last Wednesday to current vUnity customers: "vUnity will continue to offer powerful, high bandwidth solutions without discouraging usage, implementing speed caps, or throttling traffic. We will stand behind our commitment to integrity and deliver the fastest, most reliable Internet on the market today."
