H-E-B, Rouses, Nugget Market and Superior Grocers honored across four new categories for their commitment to driving mango sales and consumer engagement
ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- National Mango Board (NMB) has named H-E-B, Rouses, Nugget Market and Superior Grocers as its 2026 Mango Retailers of the Year, celebrating retail partners that go above and beyond in their support of the mango industry. Honorees are recognized for their commitment to growing the fresh mango category through strong sales performance, creative merchandising, innovative marketing initiatives and consumer education efforts that encourage shoppers to incorporate mangos into their everyday lives.
"Every year we have the challenging task of selecting a retailer of the year, so for the first time, we decided to honor four partners across distinct segments of the grocery industry," said Ramón Ojeda, executive director of the National Mango Board. "Retailers play an essential role in introducing consumers to the versatility and flavor of fresh mangos, and this year's honorees demonstrate the impact of a strong commitment to the category."
From large-scale grocery operations to specialty markets, each of the four honorees represents a distinct segment of the grocery industry:
- Large Grocer: H-E-B
- Medium Grocer: Rouses
- Small Grocer: Nugget Market
- Specialty Grocer: Superior Grocers
H-E-B, Rouses, Nugget Market and Superior Grocers will each receive a commemorative plaque honoring their selection as a 2026 Mango Retailer of the Year. The awards reinforce the NMB's ongoing commitment to recognizing retail partners that help strengthen the mango category and inspire more consumers to enjoy mangos year-round.
