Navigator Management Partners Named No. 7 in 2010 Great Place to Work® Rankings
Company also named to Fourth Consecutive Inc. 5000 List
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Navigator Management Partners is ranked No. 7 in the seventh annual Great Place to Work® Rankings: 2010 Best Small and Medium Workplaces presented by Entrepreneur®. The list represents the best workplaces separated into two categories: small companies with 50-250 employees and medium companies with 251-999 employees.
Navigator placed seventh on this year's small workplaces list, a gain of five positions from its 12th–place showing on a similar list last year. Great Place to Work® Institute, based in San Francisco, produces the annual Best Small and Medium Workplaces.
"It is an honor to be named as a member of this list of companies that place such value on their employees," Navigator founder and President David Schoettmer said. "Our continued high performance within the criteria developed by the Great Place to Work® Institute is an affirmation of one of our core strategies within Navigator.
"We set out to build a consulting firm comprised of only the top performers in the business reengineering and IT consulting industry. We knew that to attract and retain that caliber of talent we had to offer an exceptional work environment. While it is easy enough to tout excellence internally, the outside recognition that our firm continues receive shows that others agree we are doing the right things to develop and maintain this kind of team."
Navigator Management Partners has also been named to the 2010 Inc. 5000 – the Inc. Magazine list of the 5000 fastest-growing private companies in the United States. The 2010 list is the fourth created by Inc. Magazine, and Navigator Management Partners has been named on all four. Navigator Management Partners ranks 2,106th out of the 5,000 companies that made this national list.
Last year, Navigator Management Partners, LLC was named one of that year's "50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work for in America" by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and The Great Places to Work Institute, Inc. Navigator Management Partners placed 12th among the 25 small businesses on the list. Navigator earned similar recognition each of the previous four years for its Columbus-based headquarters as a Best Place to Work as evaluated by Columbus Business First, a regional business news publication.
"We've developed an interesting dynamic at Navigator," Schoettmer said. "While our benchmarks suggest that the firm offers market-leading benefits, compensation and the like, perhaps the biggest contributor to being a great place to work comes from coworkers one can trust and respect and from clients that have developed lasting relationships with us based on these same values. All deserve congratulations for contributing to this outcome, and they certainly have my thanks."
With its headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, Navigator Management Partners maintains offices in Baltimore, Md., Phoenix, Ariz., Raleigh, N.C., and Chicago. Having offices in multiple regions of the country provides Navigator the ability to respond to its clients' needs most quickly with people who are familiar with the clients resident within each region.
Navigator Management Partners made this year's recently-announced list by participating in the Great Place to Work® Institute's selection process which includes a survey of Navigator's employees based on the Trust Index© and a completed questionnaire by Navigator about programs and company practices. The Great Place to Work® Institute evaluated the company based on five areas: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie. The Institute's unique methodology measures the level of trust that exists between employees and management, the pride employees express about the company and the camaraderie employees share.
"Trust-based workplace cultures make a better place to work for employees and create a competitive advantage for the organization," said Ricardo Lange, President of Great Place to Work® Institute. "All of the companies selected for the Great Place to Work® Rankings: 2010 Best Small & Medium Workplaces Presented by Entrepreneur® have cultivated a trust based work culture and have accomplished a lot of hard work in order to make it onto the list."
Inclusion in the list benefits the organization in many ways such as better financial performance, less employee turnover, higher levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, greater innovative thinking and creativity, higher productivity and enhanced public perception.
