NAWIC Honors BCCI's Preconstruction Director Frances von Lukanovic during Women in Construction Week

SAN FRANCISCO, March 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BCCI Construction Co., a premier commercial contractor firm, is proud to announce that Frances von Lukanovic, BCCI's director of preconstruction in Palo Alto, was honored by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC)  during the organization's annual Industry Appreciation Event.

During the March 9 ceremony at Mariana's Inn in Santa Clara, Dominic Sarica, BCCI's Division Vice President, presented von Lukanovic with the NAWIC award. The honor acknowledges her two decades of service to the construction industry, innovation in the workplace and exceptional contributions to the business, as well other women in construction.

As a leader of BCCI's preconstruction team, von Lukanovic manages the estimating group for the firm's Palo Alto office. Her commercial construction experience includes on-site involvement in choosing construction materials and methods, and development of conceptual budgets and estimates for commercial interiors, educational facilities and laboratory projects. Among the notable clients that von Lukanovic has worked with are Kaiser Permanente, VeriSign, Matrix Partners, Gunderson Dettmer LLP, Stanford University and Abbott Medical Optics.
