SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The NCast PR-Hydra system is the newest of NCast's presentation recorder products. It is the first in the industry to record two full-screen, high-resolution video and graphic composites. Other NCast products have side-by-side window viewing. Comparatively, Hydra offers that and more. The new Hydra system has up to three windows, which allows for streaming of six different views while retaining the high-quality original recording.
Three active windows and graphical overlays can show a lecture, operation, university logo and heart-monitor or a slideshow presentation all embedded into a video. The three compression engines allow Hydra users to record the highest quality possible but stream the most efficient rate available for each individual viewing device. This gives viewers the best learning experience possible.
Hydra is easy to use. While it offers many features, all of them can be controlled from the NCast Quickstart page. Users can hit the RS-232 control commands to record and stream at the press of a button. Plus, the system will save the recordings (up to 1 terabyte storage) to SSD or an attached hard drive. Users choose where the files are stored or uploaded, including YouTube or on the NCast Presentation Server, where anyone with the proper link or access may view the lecture. They can watch as the professor streams the original version and use the recording for study purposes.
The recordings can be rendered at 1080p 60-frames per second, allowing for use across a variety of devices. Professors can rework these recordings via editing software to alter their lectures for later use. Hydra can be connected with 3G-SDI, HDMI (2x), DVI-I, DisplayPort, VGA and Composite. It is also equipped with outputs to HDMI or RGB monitors. The audio is dual-balanced, which allows for professional recording.
NCast will be at booth number 2481 during InfoComm in Orlando, Florida, on June 16, 2015 through June 19. Stop by to learn more about the ground-breaking Hydra system.
