NearbyNewz Debuts as the First Crowdsourced Locational Media Application

ALPHARETTA, Ga., Feb. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- TrinityApp Workz, an Alpharetta, Georgia-based application development company, announced today the launch of NearbyNewz, a groundbreaking locational and crowdsourced information sharing platform. Decoupling the friend/follow paradigm of traditional social media, NearbyNewz allows users to share and receive information on a locational basis, using a GPS radius predefined by each user. As a user moves, NearbyNewz updates their feeds based on their new location.
Through locational media, each user's newsfeed is populated with information generated within their immediate area by other users, greatly broadening the scope of communication for people existing in the same geographical location. Further, an assessment tool allows users to rate posted stories, creating creditably ratings for each user over time and lessening the likelihood of fake news becoming pervasive in the app.
