Nearly 2,200 North Carolina Employers Now Registered in the NC Community & Technical College Jobs Consortium
NEW YORK, July 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Nearly 2,200 employers are already registered at the website launched in May by a consortium of North Carolina's community and technical colleges and College Central Network, Inc. (CCN).
Deborah Hadley, Director of Job Placement and Cooperative Education at the state's second largest community college, Wake Technical Community College, stated, "It makes perfect sense to join the Consortium. Doing so gives jobs seekers at all participating colleges, including those at Wake Technical Community College, access to as many job opportunities as possible." She added, "North Carolina employers want to hire home-grown talent. Our goal as career professionals is not only to prepare job seekers for employment, but to also get the jobs in front of those candidates in a process that is as easy and rewarding as possible for both job seekers and employers alike."
The www.collegecentral.com/ncctcjobs website makes it easy and cost-effective for all North Carolina employers--small and large, public and private--to directly target their postings to the candidates they want. Employers posting jobs today can already reach the following community and technical colleges for FREE: Cleveland Community College; College of the Albermarle; Guilford Technical Community College; Isothermal Community College; Rowan-Cabarrus Community College; Sandhills Community College; Southeastern Community College; Vance-Granville Community College; Wake Technical Community College; and Wilkes Community College.
College Central Network's online career office management solution, Career Services Central(SM), exclusively powers the career centers of the Consortium's participating schools, the Consortium website itself, as well as over 35 individual two- and four-year North Carolina career centers statewide.
According to Donna Brumfield, CCN's College Relations Manager for North Carolina, "The NC Community & Technical College Jobs Consortium(SM) is off to a great start, and we invite all community colleges and employers in North Carolina to participate!"
