Nearly 250 Clients, Service Providers Participate in ISG Industry Conference

During the events, clients and service providers participated in in-depth discussions about the impact of social networking, business intelligence and analytics, cloud computing and mobility on sourcing strategies and the sourcing industry. The events also covered critical issues such as China's potential to become a global delivery destination, the evolving role of business and IT benchmarking in business improvement, and the need for effective governance of sourcing agreements.

TPI Momentum research conducted during the events found that 39% of clients surveyed are now implementing cloud computing solutions, up from just 24% a year ago. Higher percentages of clients said they were migrating Email and Messaging (67%) and Human Resources functions (52%) to the cloud than in 2010. However, clients' overall goals of increasing scalability, flexibility and speed while lowering cost have not changed, nor have their concerns, including inadequate or unclear data security and business continuity and disaster recovery risk.
