Nelnet Makes Donation to Imagine America Foundation's Promise Scholarship Program

DALLAS, June 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Today at APSCU, the Nelnet Foundation presented the Imagine America Foundation (IAF) with a $25,000 donation to provide scholarships to students who are pursuing degrees at career colleges nationwide. The donation will help fund the Promise Scholarship Program, which provides grants to students who show a strong dedication to their program of study through good grades and consistent attendance.

Each year, the IAF awards dedicated students with scholarships to help fund their education. Since its creation in 2002, IAF's Promise program has provided nearly $650,000 in scholarships and supported more than 800 students. The Promise scholarships are funded entirely by sponsors like the Nelnet Foundation.
