Nestle Waters North America and Deer Park Direct to Sponsor 2010 Brent Kegley 5K Run/Walk in Memory of Former Employee

ANNAPOLIS, Md., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Nestle Waters North America and Deer Park Direct will be sponsoring the Second Annual Brent Kegley Memorial 5K Run/Walk in honor of Brent Kegley, a 29-year-old Deer Park route sales representative who, in 2007, was in a fatal car accident while driving to work in Lorton, VA.

The run/walk will be held at Quiet Waters Park, 600 Quiet Waters Park Road, Annapolis, MD, on Saturday, June 19, 2010, beginning at 10 a.m. Members of the public are encouraged to participate.

Proceeds from the run/walk will be donated evenly to two charities, including Children, Incorporated, a non-profit international organization assisting more than 20,000 impoverished children around the world with their physical, emotional and educational needs. Brent was the son of Magda Kegley, director of the Children, Incorporated Latin America Division.

"Brent was one of those people who just made your day brighter. He could light up a room without saying a word, and he believed strongly in giving back," commented Magda Kegley. "I am so very touched that his former co-workers want to continue his legacy."

Contributions will also be made to EarthShare, an organization supporting workplace giving campaigns for more than 400 community, national and international member charities focused on the environment and conservation.

The run/walk event will also feature:

• Prize giveaways to the top finishers in seven age groups – 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+
• A silent auction held from 10 am until noon
• Snacks and Deer Park bottled water provided by Nestle and other food from Chick-fil-A
