NetFortris® Adds Strategic EVP of Sales, Scott Smith

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- NetFortris®, Inc., the emerging leader in cloud-based voice and data networking, today announced that SaaS veteran, Scott Smith has joined the company as EVP of Sales.  In this capacity, Scott will lead the company's strategic sales operations and continue to build consultative sales teams that are focused on the needs of specific market segments such as small business, enterprise, and channel partner sales.  Scott will work with NetFortris' Director of Solutions Architecture and Director of Customer Support to ensure that customers receive high-touch, consultative support at every stage of selecting, implementing and expanding their NetFortris solutions.

Scott Smith joins NetFortris as EVP of Sales and brings nearly two decades of software and infrastructure sales expertise.  Scott is a proven expert in enterprise SaaS solutions with a deep understanding of the financial services, retail, healthcare and video communications industries.  Prior to NetFortris, Scott was VP of Sales at Crown Peak Technology where he built go-to-market teams in field sales, sales development and partner channel strategy.  Scott has also served as SVP Global Sales and Field Operations at Ooyala and VP of Sales and Field Operations at Qumu, a leading enterprise video communications platform for commercial, federal and education enterprises.  He graduated with an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and received his BA from Wheaton College.
