Nets Point Guard Deron Williams And World-Class Street Artist Tristan Eaton Unveil A Limited Edition Red Bull Can

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Oct. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Giving Wings to artists and athletes, Red Bull launched a collaboration between world-class street artist and Brooklyn resident, Tristan Eaton, and All-Star basketball player and Red Bull athlete, Deron Williams, to bring to life the performance of an athlete through the eyes of an artist on a limited edition can.  Through a partnership spanning more than six months, the artist and athlete spent time together observing each other's crafts, and the parallels between each craft, and how they could mesh their respective passions, creativity and execution to create a limited edition Red Bull can.  The Deron Williams Red Bull Energy Drink can is now available in New York and New Jersey, celebrating the start of the 2013-2014 NBA season, and a video chronicling their collaborative journey is showcased at D-WillXTristan.com.

Eaton was captivated by Deron's snake and panther tattoos, and used them as metaphors to showcase his athletic prowess on the court, drawing them literally jumping off D-Will's skin in the height of game play. Additionally, over the course of three days, Eaton hand painted a mural of Deron and the limited edition can on a 75-foot wall at Flatbush Avenue and Dean Street just outside Barclays Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets.

"Hanging out with Deron, I got a good sense of his focus and determination. He's completely dedicated his life to the sport and these are the exact qualities I relate to as an artist," said Eaton. "Typically art's role in sports is on banners, jerseys or t-shirts, but I find the similarities between the artist and athlete minds much more interesting.
