Neurana Pharmaceuticals to Present Clinical Data on Tolperisone at ACEP18

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Neurana Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of neuromuscular conditions, today announced that data from a Phase 1 clinical study demonstrating the non-sedating effects of tolperisone in a simulated driving performance and cognitive functioning assessment in healthy adult volunteers will be presented at the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) October 1-4, 2018 in San Diego, California.

Tolperisone is approved and widely used in Europe and Asia for the treatment of neuromuscular conditions.  It has been shown to be safe and effective in treating neuromuscular conditions and non-sedating, a side effect most commonly seen with other muscle relaxants.   

Neurana is preparing to commence a Phase 2 dose-ranging clinical study to further demonstrate the safety and efficacy of tolperisone in subjects with acute, painful muscle spasms of the back.
