Laird Hamilton is known as the guiding genius of crossover board sports, and he is truly amazing in the water. He learned to surf growing up in Hawaii, between the ages of two and three on the front half of a surfboard, with his father, 60s surfing legend Bill Hamilton.

Laird is currently filming a role in The Descendants, a Fox Searchlight film starring Academy Award® winner George Clooney and directed by Alexander Payne from the debut novel of acclaimed writer Kaui Hart Hemmings.  He is currently in development with National Geographic Films on a 3D IMAX film slated for filming next year.
