Nevada Hispanics to Assail Obama's Failed Record on Immigration, Free-Market Enterprise, Family Values
New Campaign to Reach Latinos at Supermarkets, Townhall Events
WASHINGTON, May 29, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- American Principles in Action, in conjunction with local conservative Hispanic leaders in Nevada, will hold a press conference Wednesday, May 30 in Las Vegas, Nevada to announce the launch of Nevada Hispanics. The new outreach effort will feature a series of townhall events and visits to key Latino supermarkets, churches and community fairs to engage Latinos on issues ranging from immigration to free-market entrepreneurship.
The campaign, called "Your Vote is Your Voice: Vote Your Values," will encourage Latinos to get engaged and voice their support of conservative values. The campaign will include advertisements in the coming months hitting these central themes. Former presidential candidate and Reagan adviser Gary Bauer will be the featured speaker at the group's first townhall event on June 13.
"Latinos have latched onto President Obama's failed promises of fixing immigration and jumpstarting job creation," said Alfonso Aguilar, whose group is spearheading the effort. "Instead of advocating for Hispanics, his administration has deported more immigrants than any other president in the modern era, through a policy of massive and systematic deportations that is much more punitive than the Arizona law."
