New Advanced Recognition Technology Makes Holiday Photo Cards and Gifts Come Alive - A Walmart Exclusive
U4D-iT.com from Holoma Inc. offers 4D photo technology just in time for Christmas
MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Nov. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Holoma Inc. announced today that it is adding a magical touch to holiday greetings and gifting, with a service that is a Walmart exclusive through the holiday season. In a first-of-its kind initiative, their website, U4D-iT.com, places advanced image recognition technology in the hands of consumers. Consumers can create fun, interactive photo cards and gifts that play a related video.

Imagine a Christmas card featuring your children, who then 'come to life' decorating the tree! How about a photo mug featuring your family decked out in their favorite 'ugly' Christmas sweaters? It can play a video of you wishing everyone a Merry Christmas! When family and friends receive the card or gift, they also receive your special video greeting.
Only U4D-iT.com offers consumers the ability to "4D" their photos this holiday season. When a photo and a related video are uploaded on the site, the 4D technology links the two, creating a "4D photo." When the photo is scanned with the free, integrated mobile app, the video plays!
"Seeing a photo come to life like this is magical," says Ken Haffner, CEO of Holoma, Inc. "With the readily available video and photo technology on mobile phones, we thought, why not connect the two for a truly engaging experience? And, without altering the photo in any way we can bridge the gap between still photography and video," continues Haffner.
A unique feature of this interactive technology is that the photo is transformed into a 4D photo without being altered or changed in any way. No ugly sticker, QR code or cropping to deface the photo.
Another exciting feature is that there's no waiting for a revised photo file or a link. The same digital photo you uploaded to U4D-iT.com can be instantly uploaded in-store at the Walmart Photo kiosk, or at the online Walmart Photo Center, to use in creating scannable holiday cards and gifts.
There is no upcharge to print 4D photos at Walmart or to use 4D photos to create cards, invitations and a spectacular array of photo gifts. It costs just $9.96 to 4D a photo at U4D-iT.com, and that photo can be used on as many Walmart Photo Center items as the consumer desires.
How do you scan the 4D photo? The free integrated scanner app is called iDD4D. iDD4D can be downloaded free at U4D-iT.com, or by texting IDD4D [all caps] to 33733.
How did U4D-iT happen? Holoma Inc. created the concept of adapting advanced image recognition technology for consumer use. Holoma worked with HubEngage™, the snap-on engine for mobile and web, to redeploy its commercial image recognition module in this new format. Walmart partnered with Holoma to create the consumer 4D experience available only at U4D-iT.com. The process integrates mobile, print and video media, thus creating the next generation of photo image recognition software.
