New America Energy Corp. Clayton Ridge Exploration Update
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- New America Energy Corp. (OTC: NECA) is pleased to announce the next phase of its exploration program on its Clayton Ridge Lithium Prospect near Clayton Valley, NV.
The first phase of the exploration program was a recently completed geophysical gravity survey. Interpretation of the modeled gravity data indicates a large topographic low, or basin, that is closed over a wide range of depths. These areas may be conducive for concentration of lithium bearing brines.
The second phase of the exploration program will consist of a controlled source audio magnetotellurics/magentotellurics (CSAMT/MT) survey. This survey determines if conductive zones, possibly indicative of lithium-bearing brines, are present and continuous within the basin. The Company has requested GeoXplor and Hasbrouck Geophysics to prepare a budget and work schedule for this program.
Mr. Rick Walchuk, President and CEO, comments, "I am excited to implement the next phase of our exploration program on the Clayton Ridge project, the Electro Magnetic geophysical survey is a tool to identify whether the basins have an electromagnetic conductor. The logical deduction is that the electromagnetic conductor is brine within the basin. With positive results from phase two exploration, we may stake additional ground and continue with phase three of the exploration which will include a drill program. The first step will be the budgeting and scheduling of the CSAMT/MT survey. As a company, we are committed to keeping our shareholders and supporters up to date as to our plans and progress."
