New Beginnings Recovery Center Honored as Winner of the 2013 James W. West M.D. Quality Improvement Award
The award recognizes organizational achievement for improvement in the quality of treatment of alcohol and drug addiction.
DALLAS, May 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- New Beginnings Recovery Center, the leading teen residential treatment program in the Southwest and one recognized nationwide for teen rehabilitation, has been named the winner of the 2013 James W. West M.D. Quality Improvement Award.
The award was made May 20 at an awards luncheon held as part of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers Annual Conference. Johnny Patout, CEO of New Beginnings Recovery Center, was present at the conference to accept the honor.
"It is an incredible honor to be named a recipient of an award previously received by highly regarded treatment facilities like the Betty Ford Center," said Patout. "It is my hope that this recognition will help further cement our reputation as a leader in teen drug treatment."
Established in 2001, the James W. West M.D. Quality Improvement Award recognizes addiction treatment organizations in the association that are improving their services and documenting the results along the way. The award is named for James W. West, a longtime quality-improvement advocate who is medical director emeritus at the Betty Ford Center.
While there are plenty of steps organizations can take to improve treatment service quality, there is only one overall goal: Make treatment a better experience for patients. Because there are more than 275 providers in the NAATP, there is always plenty of competition to be chosen as the winner of the West award.
A list of previous West award winners is available through the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers or by visiting https://www.naatp.org/awards/.
