New Colombia Resources ads will feature MLB World Series MVP, Edgar Renteria, who hit game winning runs in Game 7 of the World Series for both the Florida Marlins (1997) and San Franscisco Giants (2010).
New Colombia Resources believes the passing last night of Florida Amendment 2 Medical Marijuana Legislation eases their ability to conduct research and development in the joint venture's home state, however, clinical data obtained in Colombia will be much more cost effective and allow for more research. Alternatively, New Colombia Resources met with the owner of land in central Florida that housed an illegal marijuana operation confiscated by the state, this land may be used pending negotiations with the owner and their ability to obtain state permits.
The meeting with the joint venture partners to produce pharmaceutical products identified steps being taken that will be described in much more detail. The JV will seek the collaboration of Colombia's Ministry of Health for the clinical trial to be conducted in Colombia. The Ministry has publicly expressed interest in bringing Cannabis research to Colombia and the Company feels their project is in line with this aspiration. In late August, New Colombia Resources received a letter from the Presidency of Colombia directed to the Health Minister requesting his assistance on behalf of the company's medical marijuana project.
Other companies developing cannabis based pharmaceutical products include, GW Pharmaceutical, Zynerba Pharmaceuticals and INSYS Therapeutics among others.
