VANCOUVER, Wash., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- New Edge Networks, the managed services business communications unit of EarthLink Inc., today announced that XCast Labs, a leading provider of hosted digital Voice and Video Services over the Internet, has established a direct connection to the New Edge AX ecosystem of business applications. XCast's hosted IP-PBX and SIP Trunking services are now available over the New Edge nationwide MPLS network.

With a dedicated interconnection to New Edge AX, XCast can now provide its services over a stable and reliable nationwide network, utilizing the Quality of Service (QoS) inherent on the New Edge backbone and Class of Service (CoS) that New Edge offers to MPLS customers.

XCast specializes in delivering telecom services to business customers with distributed workforces, especially companies that have multiple locations.  By connecting customers to New Edge AX, XCast can serve any number of customer locations, delivering voice and video applications to the entire company's workforce, regardless of geographic dispersion.
