New Era Cap Gets a Head Start on the 2010 Season With Newly Designed Batting Practice Caps

BUFFALO, N.Y., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- New Era Cap Company, the exclusive manufacturer of the official on-field and batting practice caps for Major League Baseball (MLB), is introducing a re-designed batting practice cap for the 2010 baseball season.

Although the new 39THIRTY batting practice (BP) cap will have a new look, it will still be made with New Era's signature Performance CoolBase material which features vapor management technology to prevent moisture from developing and guards against sweat, odor and fading. The 39THIRTY BP cap will be the exclusive cap worn during Spring Training and all pre-game workouts by all 30 MLB teams.  The New York Yankees will be the only team to don two different BP caps this season, a home and a road version.

Unlike the structured, high crown 59FIFTY on-field cap that players wear during the game, the 39THIRTY BP cap is a stretch fit cap with low crown. Significant design enhancements have been made to the cap including spiral piping on the visor and a rear gusset with MLB logo.
