HARLINGEN, Texas, Jan. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- TICA's World of Cats: All Kinds of Purrfect is a brand new coloring book for all ages presenting the diverse beauty of the cats of The International Cat Association (TICA), the world's largest genetic registry of cats. "TICA recognizes the distinctive looks of pedigreed breeds and household pets of no breed at all. Cats are masterpieces of nature, each one is perfect or 'purrfect'", notes TICA President Fate Mays.

The book contrasts the distinguishing characteristics of the cats with an array of people reinforcing beauty, like felines or humans, come in different shapes, sizes and colors but all are "purrfect" to someone. The author and a variety of cat breeds including Bengals, Toygers, Maine Coons, Devon Rex and their owners are available for interviews in major media markets, including NYC, Washington DC, LA, Chicago, Seattle and Dallas.
Anthony Hutcherson, a Washington DC based documentary & event producer, wrote the coloring book's series of rhymes depicting feline beauty and proper cat care. "Raising and showing Bengal Cats for 20 years and global travels have allowed me to appreciate the differences in cats and people," offers the author. Hutcherson's Bengal Cats most recently earned the Best Bengal Kitten and Best Female adult Bengal Cat worldwide in 2015. He was elected chairperson for the Bengal Cat breed in 2008, 2011 & 2014.
Beaverton, OR illustrator Christine Knopp has provided the whimsical images of the felines that fill the pages. Her experience working with Disney video games and children's books is put to good use by giving each of the cats depicted a personality. Ms. Knopp is a professor of digital art at the Academy of Art, children's book illustrator, and owns two Sphynx cats, Gandalf and Archimedes.
The book also includes a full color breed chart of the breeds accepted by TICA and features an activity page with instructions to make your own cat toy.
TICA's World of Cats, All Kinds of Purrfect will be available exclusively at TICA shows throughout the world in 2016 after Feb. 1. The book is made possible by the support of Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat line of feline products.
