New fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon comes to Muncie
Scott M. Waterman, M.D., joins Central Indiana Orthopedics

As a fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon, Dr. Waterman's expertise includes a wide variety of advanced procedures and techniques to promptly and effectively diagnose and treat orthopedic sports medicine injuries and conditions.

After receiving his doctorate of medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Waterman completed an internship and his residency in orthopedic surgery at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Following his residency, Dr. Waterman underwent extensive specialty training by completing a fellowship in sports medicine at Keller Army Community Hospital in West Point, New York, and the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Dr. Waterman is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons with additional certification in sports medicine.
