New Format For Making Employees Happier, PERKS Debuts in Chicago
Affordable and high-visibility employee services showcase expands
CHICAGO, Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- A group set on changing the face of HR and people operations for the millennial workforce has designed a thoughtful new format for employee PERKS. Launched in Boston in 2014, the PERKS Convention, or 'PERKS' is launching a national calendar through 2019, making it's first new stop in Chicago on October 24th.
Over 1,300 people attended this years PERKS Boston event which showcased nearly 100 unique employee PERKS that fit the criteria of being employee-centric, unique and affordable. The show goes above and beyond to encourage experience along with discovery. Yoga classes, meditation seminars and other immersive experiences accompany the expo to help corporations determine what is the right type and quality of service for their team by experiencing them firsthand.
Employee Benefit News says PERKS "...needs to be seen
to be believed and appreciated."
Facebook. GE. McDonalds. Why do Fortune 500 companies attend PERKS? Because large companies need new ideas and programs that can be provided across multiple locations and teams. Companies from startups to Fortune 500 businesses use PERKS to curate meaningful employee experiences. In one day, the world's largest employers can discover the newest and most unique benefits for their employees, determine their pricing and setup process, short-list their favorites, and leave with a game plan for future employee programs.
PERKS highlights services that are available nationwide and locally here in Chicago – from on-site healthcare, massage and manicure services, to technology to improve financial literacy, survey engagement, and team-effectiveness - PERKS will showcase the newest and most actionable PERKS for Chicagoland's biggest and best employers.
"It doesn't have to be hard, it doesn't have to be expensive, and you don't have to be Google to do these things for your employees…" said Co-Creator, Alexa Baggio, who launched PERKS shortly after co-founding another Chicago-area benefit, 2020 On-site, out of a frustration with traditional HR channels for discovery.
At PERKS the goal is to fuel the imagination of HR and people operations professionals. At Chicago, attendees will make their way from the HAPPY room to the HEALTH room and finish with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the WEALTHY room, all while enjoying the energy and vibes of a live DJ, free massages and more. Registration is limited.
