HOUSTON, Sept. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - A new global consulting practice to assist global petroleum and chemical firms in evaluating and securing outsourced critical products and services has commenced operations.  The firm, Petrochem Outsourcing Consulting Services LLC ("Petrochem Outsourcing"), has been established by Randy Hull, former Senior Vice President at Marsulex Inc., which was acquired recently by Chemtrade Logistics.  Examples of products and services that are often outsourced include hydrogen and other industrial gas supplies, services for on-site processing and handling of petroleum coke, sulphur recovery and export, and water/wastewater treatment.

Hull said, "As global petroleum refining companies transform their refineries to handle lower quality crudes, as well as meet increasingly strict refined product specifications required for clean fuels, they will have to undertake significant investment to meet these challenges.  Finding and effectively managing strategic supply chain partners for refiners and chemical producers will be a new challenge for many of these firms."

Petrochem Outsourcing has established relationships with several other expert associates in order  to provide an extensive range of resources to assist clients in making new kinds of decisions that have the potential to dramatically impact overall refinery safety, reliability and ultimately, financial performance.  Please visit Petrochem Outsourcing's website at
