New Golf Training Product Aims to Improve Golfers' Short Putts
( Will donate portion of proceeds to military scholarship foundation )
CARBONDALE, Ill., Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Marlie Agency announces the launch of Good Putt™Pro Trainer by Good Putt Golf, a company that specializes in consumer golf training products. The launch of this short putt trainer coincides with the upcoming 2014 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando in Florida, January 22-24.
Most putting aids on the market focus on the target line, not specifically on a limited takeaway and a square clubface for short putts. In 2013, the average PGA tour player made 96% of putts inside of five feet, accounting for almost half of the total strokes made per round of golf.
Good Putt™Pro Trainer is specifically designed to train right and left handed golfers how to make short putts from 3 feet to 10 feet.
The practice tool aids golfers in learning how to produce a square clubface with a limited takeaway for accuracy on short putts. The pop-stroke method has become popular in professional golf with this same approach.
"I had a personal vendetta with putting. I developed this to help me consistently make short putts and avoid three-putts," said the developer Mark Vandeveer. "It took off from there."
Instead of attending the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, the manufacturer of the Good Putt™Pro Trainer is guaranteeing that throughout the entire year, one dollar of every unit sold online will go towards the Folds of Honor Foundation, a scholarship-funding organization that benefits military families.
"We take pride in our partnerships and feel very fortunate that Good Putt is gracious enough to provide a portion of the proceeds from each unit back to the Folds of Honor for a scholarship donation," said Major Dan Rooney, founder of the Folds of Honor Foundation. "Every dollar counts to help the families of our nation's military who have sacrificed so much to make this country great."

About Folds of Honor Foundation
More than one million dependents have been affected by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Of these, 87 percent do not qualify for federal scholarship assistance. Folds of Honor, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a mission to empower deserving military families with educational support and opportunities, is helping fill this gap by providing educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving our great nation. Founded by Major Dan Rooney following his second tour of duty in Iraq in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded over 5,000 educational scholarships to date.
