New Jersey TV Station WJLP Receives Ultimatum from the Federal Communications Commission

FREEHOLD, N.J., Nov. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- PMCM TV owned local television station WJLP TV Channel 3.10, licensed to Middletown, NJ has been ordered by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) to change what channel we operate on or to leave the air.

CBS Corporation, ION TV and WSFB in Hartford, CT have filed multiple protests about WJLP broadcasting over the air on Channel 3.10. They, erroneously, have convinced the FCC to issue this ultimatum. PMCM TV has been in the broadcasting business since 1947. Over those 67 years, we have always adhered to the principal of fighting for what we believe is right, regardless of cost. Our competitors are worth billions and are working the FCC to substantially weaken a small family owned company or, as in this case, shut us out all together. Our goal is, and continues to be, to offer high quality classic programming to the entire New York Market along with highly focused New Jersey-centric news, general interest, educational and public affairs programming.

The FCC has been no help, siding with the big guys from the very beginning, even to the point of deliberately misinterpreting the governing rules and laws to support their position.
