New Labor Management Association Launched
Western Labor Coalition to Provide Voice for Labor Management Companies
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Feb. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- A group of respected labor management companies announced the formation of the Western Labor Coalition today. The Western Labor Coalition will speak with one voice and advocate for uniform compliance and mandate the best practices to provide the highest worker safety standards while providing companies with a skilled and abundant supply of workers.
"The Western Labor Coalition is the advocate for labor management companies who provide the workforce necessary to sustain businesses throughout the western United States," said Camron King. "Until now, there has been no voice for this industry so the leaders in the labor management community have decided to band together."
In recent years, more and more businesses from a variety of industries have begun utilizing labor contractors to provide the workers necessary to meet the labor needs of businesses throughout California and the West. With the growing reliance on labor contractors, the industry has attracted some irresponsible and dishonest individuals and companies who failed to protect the health and safety of its employees and often took advantage of their position. Fed up with the actions of these unethical labor contractors, a group of well-established, highly respected labor providers began meeting last year with the idea to establish an organization that would represent labor contractors and require the highest employee standards in order to be considered for membership. That effort culminated into the establishment of the Western Labor Coalition.
"I believe the Western Labor Coalition will gain greater recognition for our industry and support for our commitment to ensure the health and safety of our employees," said Jesse Aldrete III, chair of the Coalition's board of directors. He added, "Our members are equally committed to uniform compliance and mandating the best practices to provide the highest standards to protect the worker while providing companies with the skilled workers they need to help turn this economy around."
The Western Labor Coalition is based in Sacramento.
