WAUSAU, Wis., May 9, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The recycling division of Wausau Steel Corporation announces its name change to Wausau Scrap and Recycling Corporation.

"We've come full circle from our beginnings as a scrap company in 1951," says President Peter Wallach, whose family continues to own the newly named entity. "The steel division sale allows us to focus on our core recycling business to improve and expand services to our industrial and consumer customers with a continued commitment to green best practices."

"We meet or exceed all state and federal guidelines for environmental compliance," says Wallach.
The company's 30 employees continue to work in the same location at 2900 West Sherman Street in Wausau. Recycling services are open to the public, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
