New Novel Offers Unique Perspective On The Making Of Alexander The Great
LONG ISLAND, NY, April 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - A new addition to the realm of historical fiction is creating a buzz internationally, portraying the adolescence of one of the world's most famous generals, Alexander of Macedon III, better known as Alexander the Great.
In The Theater of the World is C. Benjamin Tracy's first foray into historical fiction, based on over two decades of research into the history of Ancient Macedonia, and its most famous son. Even to this day, Alexander the Great is a highly controversial figure in historical, political and cultural circles, known throughout the world for his extraordinary military achievements and his unique persona.
Unlike other literary takes on the subject, the novel is an intimate journey into the making of the Macedonian warrior-prince, documenting his life from the ages of 13 to 20. With Alexander himself as narrator, the reader explores the events which shaped the great general, skillfully providing insight into the life of this most overachieving of ancient teenagers, in a way that today's teens can easily relate to.
"C. Benjamin Tracy's novel...is more than just another typical work of hero-worshipping... Told from Alexander's perspective as if he were writing his memoirs, (it) is seasoned with personal observations about the people who taught, teased, and tested him..." Mark McLaughlin, Foreword Clarion Reviews
"Inside the mind of a conqueror,...C. Benjamin Tracy's knowledge of Alexander is first rate, and eases us into the narrative with confidence. From a historical point of view, the author is on solid ground." Marcus Pailing, author of the trilogy series The Count of Trall.
"The atmosphere of ancient Macedonia is laid out for us like like a delicate tapestry..." Mark Branov, Branov Media Group
