BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Access Communications, LLC (Access) has named David P. Gagliano the company's president and chief executive officer (CEO). Since mid-2009, Access was under the leadership of a group of managing partners, a role in which Gagliano served in addition to his responsibilities as chief financial officer (CFO).

Gagliano was instrumental in growing Access from a small agency to a full-service network that currently employees more than 115 health care communications, product marketing, and medical education professionals in 4 offices nationwide. Before becoming president and CEO of Access, Gagliano was the agency's CFO since 2000. He was responsible for developing and leading all Access infrastructure services to support business development activities, including operations, human resources, finance, contracting, and information technology services. In 2006, Gagliano led the public auction process of Access with investment bankers and private equity sponsors, resulting in the successful recapitalization of the agency the following year, enabling Access with greater resources to achieve its longer-term growth objectives.
Prior to joining Access, Gagliano spent 11 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). During his tenure at PwC, Gagliano developed a wide breadth of experience in mergers and acquisitions, audit, and consulting services, including sales force automation and customer relationship management across numerous sectors, with specialization in the pharmaceutical and financial services industry. His expertise includes formulating, negotiating, structuring, and coordinating cross line of service and international affiliate involvement, as well as advising clients on high profile transactions including public offerings, exchange offerings, and merger and acquisition services.
Gagliano holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration and finance from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. He became a certified public accountant in 1991, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
