New Richmond Design Firm Launches with Redesign of The Martin Agency
RICHMOND, Va., March 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Visible Proof, a recently launched Richmond design consortium, announced today that it has completed a series of high-profile commercial projects – including the redesign of a critical area of The Martin Agency and two new retail locations in Short Pump.
Kristi Lane, formerly of 3North, founded Visible Proof in 2010. Quickly gaining a reputation for creating a complete design experience, Visible Proof was chosen above other local and national firms bidding to redesign an entire floor of The Martin Agency, which was named the "U.S. Agency of the Year" by Adweek in 2010.
"Physical space has a definite and demonstrated impact on the quality of work. For example, in our business, collaboration within teams is essential and space design can enhance collaboration dramatically," said John B. Adams, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at The Martin Agency. "So the goal of our renovation is to elevate our work to an even stronger place. Coupled with the new management structure, the new space is representative of our plan to evolve and grow as a creative company."
The Martin Agency, which has posted double-digit gains in recent years, counts among its clients Walmart, Geico, Discover Card, Pizza Hut, Hanes, and the American Cancer Society. The local ad agency with national reach, located in Shockoe Slip, hired Visible Proof to redesign a portion of its office space in a fashion that equals the firm's commitment to creative thought.
"Sense of space is critical for anyone who creates," said John Norman, Chief Creative Officer at The Martin Agency. "At the end of the day, we're all creating something -- no matter the industry. That's why it was important for The Martin Agency to work with a design firm that shared our vision to design a work environment that was fun and collaborative."
In addition to The Martin Agency, the growing Richmond design firm has recently completed work on the newly launched Layers Bed Company, located in Short Pump Town Center. "We debuted in February 2011 with the help of Visible Proof," said Gian Fazio, cofounder of Layers Bed Company. "We look to grow to Charlottesville, DC, and New York thanks to the vision of Kristi Lane and her team."
Visible Proof has also completed the design of The Sweet Spot, a stylish reinvention of the traditional American candy store, located in West Broad Village. In addition to commercial projects, Visible Proof is working with a growing list of residential clientele.
"By helping clients understand what they want to be, Visible Proof brings a brand to life – either a commercial brand or a family brand -- through every touch point, from core messaging to the very chair a customer sits in and the light they are greeted with upon their initial arrival," said Kristi Lane, founder of Visible Proof.
