New Social Network Statisfy allows people to Ask, Answer and Connect
Is there life after death? Should men always pay on the first date? Statisfy has all the answers!
BOSTON, Jan. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Statisfy, one of the fastest growing new Boston startup, announced today that 30 days after releasing their new app on iTunes the company has had over 150,000 questions answered and already has over 106,000 users. Statisfy is an app and website that allows users to easily ask image-based questions, which are fun and engaging in order to gather opinions and answers from all or any of their favorite existing social networks. Those results are then automatically generated into easy-to-read statistics and are easily sharable. For example, a Statisfy user asked "Do you believe in life after death?" 68% said "yes." Another user asked "Should a guy always pay on the first date?" 74% said "yes, definitely." These results are surprising, in a world of socially-progressive millennials. Some things in life just stay old fashioned, but not how we share information.
Founded three months ago by co-founders Dean Wiltse and Dave Casion, Statisfy is changing the way users engage with each other on existing social media platforms. "Our goal with Statisfy was to create a tool and open platform for people to explore their curiosity. We all have funny, entertaining, insightful questions that go unasked. We want to encourage more question-asking and real user engagement," said Dean Wiltse, CEO and co-founder at Statisfy.
The rest of social media is a push and Statisfy is a pull. Mega-platforms that are popular today allow people to push their message onto their audience; But Statisfy is doing what social media was created for, increasing human connection. Instead of just flipping through your feed in a half-interested way, Statisfy is disrupting the way people engage and understand themselves and the social world around them in a smart and fun way. Originally aimed at Millennials, Statisfy is gaining traction in social niches in real and virtual communities.
"We make it easy and accurate for people to draw conclusions about their social circles and the world at large. Indecision, confusion, and wondering what other people think is something we all experience. We solve this. We're also giving people a way to anonymously compare themselves and their opinions with other people and then share those opinions," said Dave Casion President, CTO and co-founder at Statisfy.
Statisfy is ushering in a new era of social engagement. Moving beyond the "tweet at your followers" model, Statisfy offers users something more, a real connection within the virtual community.
