New Super Bowl Ad Campaign Aims to Attract Business to New Jersey

PRINCETON, N.J., Jan. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- With one of the world's most highly anticipated sporting events coming to New Jersey on February 2, the state's lead business attraction agency, Choose New Jersey, Inc., is unveiling a statewide Super Bowl-themed advertising campaign to promote the Garden State as a premier business location.   

Choose New Jersey seeks to capture the attention of the 82,500 fans attending the Super Bowl, as well as thousands of other visitors expected to descend on the area, by placing digital billboard advertisements with the headline "Businesses:" in high-traffic locations, including the New Jersey Turnpike, Lincoln Tunnel and Newark Liberty International Airport.

"All eyes will be on New Jersey for Super Bowl XLVIII, making it an ideal opportunity to spread the message that New Jersey is a strategic location for business," said Choose New Jersey President and CEO, Tracye McDaniel. "While hosting the first cold-weather outdoor Super Bowl is a historic win for New Jersey, we want to make sure it's a win for our business community as well."

One of the billboards, for example, highlights the state's attractive business incentives, posing the provocative question: "NJ Incentives. What are you waiting for?" Referring to New Jersey's strong value proposition for business, a second billboard proclaims "Because we're worth it."

Choose New Jersey is launching the $200,000 business attraction campaign in partnership with six New Jersey companies and organizations, including Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, New Jersey Natural Gas, ShopRite, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 102, International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825 and Laborers' International Union of North America.

"New Jersey offers a strong business advantage to companies large and small — aggressive incentives, a highly educated workforce and a perfect location along the East Coast," adds McDaniel. "We hope this campaign will welcome even more companies to our thriving business community."

The billboard campaign will run for about two weeks in the run-up to the Super Bowl and for about two weeks following. The ads are also featured on HarrisonRand of Guttenberg, N.J. is the ad agency.
