YOUGHAL, Ireland, Jan. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The leading early warning and monitoring system designer for luxury boats and super yachts, BoatWarden (www.BoatWarden.com), announces the launch of their brand new early warning safety device GasWarden at the London Boat Show in London, United Kingdom, January 9, 2015.
Engineer, Inventor and Founder of BoatWarden, Kevin Hennessy, has developed a solution to automatically protect against gas leaks by designing his new invention, GasWarden, to watch over and lock-down the propane gas used in galley cookers, should it leak.
Hennessy found that a recurring problem on boats was how the sea air can harden and corrode the rubber o-ring seals over time, leading to gas leaks. With gas being heavier than air, it is known to bubble around the bottom of the boat, eventually making it's way forward towards the foredeck, where the danger lies with enclosed living spaces, sleeping bunks and the galley.
The GasWarden system consists of a 'Gas Sniffer' or sensor which detects the gas leak sending a signal to a switching unit fastened to the gas bottle. A unique 'guillotine' valve then automatically closes once alerted by the 'Sniffer.'
GasWarden, is simple and easy to fit and may be used as a stand-alone system which will automatically detect and protect. When added as an option to the comprehensive BoatWarden system, a message is sent to the boat owner, the VIPs on the 'watch-list' and the Central Monitoring Team, providing immediate back-up and support.
All BoatWarden orders are shipped within 24 hours and include a one year warranty which may be extended.
Purchasers of BoatWarden also receive a complimentary 1-year Ambassador membership to LifeBoats.
