New Tree Hugger® Display System Lifts Plants to Creative Levels
ROCKLEDGE, Fla., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida inventor Kevin Londo has perfected a device to get potted plants up off the ground and onto tree trunks, poles, posts, columns, even dock pilings, without the use of nails, screws or fasteners of any kind. Called the Tree Hugger®, the innovative device incorporates a simple cantilever design that securely holds its position. Tree Hugger® can even be mounted on crooked or angled trees, said Londo.

The patented Tree Hugger® consists of two curved (helix) sections, a forked bottom support and three hoops to hold 6" potted plants. In addition, the fork will support a hanging plant weighing up to 15 lbs and a variety of other ornaments. Assembly is quick and easy. No tools are needed. The Tree Hugger can be easily repositioned or moved to another location as light conditions change with the seasons.
Because the Tree Hugger® is fully adjustable, it provides an efficient solution for converting underutilized trees and pole structures to a platform for a variety of uses, not only for plants but also small tables, lighting, and garden decor.
Londo reports that during test marketing consumer response has been excellent, especially as a gift purchase. It retails for $29.95 and carries a one-year warranty. Injection-molded of durable plastic, Tree Hugger® is part of a system that includes attachments in an Accessories Pack containing a molded bird bath, bird feeder, and round and rectangular trays.
Also in the Accessories Pack, which retails for $19.95, are 10 silk faux leaves that snap into a molded groove in Tree Hugger to simulate a vine. The groove can hold a watering line for the plants, too. Other accessories will include a waterfall, solar lighting and a line of seasonal decorations, making a very versatile gift. People who are creative with arts and crafts are especially excited about Tree Hugger, Londo relates.
