PlainSmart's weight-management program includes a 21-day plan with personal consulting with a Registered Dietitian, and then planning a four-pronged approach: 1) diagnosis and counseling; 2) diet with option of pre-packaged meals or a menu for individual cooking; 3) exercise recommendations for lowering fat percentage; and 4) monitoring with weekly body composition analysis, technology tools and reinforcement. The nutrition program focuses on losing fat and gaining muscle, as opposed to just the number on the scale, through scientifically-based nutrition with a mix of lean protein, such as bison, chicken and seafood, as well as exercise, support and monitoring by a Registered Dietitian. The cost ranges from $250 to $499, depending on the ready-to-eat meal plan.
