New Western Dental Office to Open in World's Garlic Capital

ORANGE, Calif., July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Western Dental Services, Inc., California's neighborhood dentist and one of the nation's leading dental health maintenance organizations, is opening a family dentistry, specialty and orthodontics office in Gilroy, on July 30 -- during the city's famous Garlic Festival.

Dr. Tam Tran, a managing dentist for the new facility, urges festival-goers to avoid consuming sugary mints to cover up the garlic breath that they may earn at the event. "To have fresh breath and also avoid tooth decay, try sugarless breath mints or gum. And even if you think you have 'garlic breath,' don't put off your visit to the dentist," he said. A grand opening will be held for the Gilroy office from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 30, to introduce the facility and staff to area residents. The festivities will include a live remote radio broadcast and DJ, food, drinks, children's activities and, of course, a supply of sugar-free mints and chewing gum.

The new office at 780 First St., just off Hecker Pass Highway, brings a convenient Western Dental location to the Santa Clara County residents and others east of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Other nearby Western Dental offices are in Watsonville, Santa Cruz and Salinas.

Experienced providers and certified specialists at the large, new office will offer a complete range of family dental services, specialty care, orthodontics, Invisalign®, periodontics, pedodontics, oral surgery,  and cosmetic dentistry, including white fillings, veneers, crowns, dental implants and ZOOM!® whitening.  The office will offer family, evening and Saturday appointments.

Office hours for the new facility will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday. Emergency and after-hours dental care will be available to Western Dental patients, and during office hours to new patients. Dr. Tam Tran, D.D.S., is the managing dentist of the new family dentistry practice, Dr. Garrett Criswell, D.D.S., M.S., is the managing orthodontist. Kim Kammen and Ana Cendejas are office managers.
