WESTON, Conn., Nov. 11, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Art Guard®, a CT-based company, announces the release of its second-generation art security devises. The new Art Guard RF Wireless Module uses radio frequency transmitters with Art Guard's patented alert technology to protect individual pieces of hanging art and objects.
Art Guard (http://www.artguard.net) is the first and only anti-theft sensor designed specifically for hanging art, from the smallest to the largest of pieces. Its reliability, ease of use, flexibility and affordability make it the preferred means of protection against art theft.
Art Guard provides state-of-the-art protection, whether using the new RF wireless or our original alarm-at-contact module. When other systems must be turned off to welcome the public, Art Guard remains vigilant -- working 24/7.
Manufactured using a high-quality UTC-Interlogix® micro transmitter with a 5- to 8-year standard coin cell battery life, the new Art Guard RF Modules are available either as individual sensor units, easily linked into most existing RF security systems that support the UTC-Interlogix® format, or as key system components in an independent, self-contained security system network, communicating with a central master alarm control panel.
The Art Guard RF sensors instantly notify authorities on or off premises when someone tampers with a piece of hanging art. Each unit's transmitter carries a specific identity and notifies a receiver of the exact location of tamper or theft.
For larger institutions with existing security systems, Art Guard RF modules can be programmed to work seamlessly with their systems, providing valuable redundancy, as well as security when the main system is turned off. Art Guard RF integrates with systems from every major manufacturer via an add-on, standalone RF Receiver-Repeater board. Art Guard RF is directly supported by the entire UTC-Interlogix® product line, as well as the sophisticated ELK system.
Art Guard also offers a new easy-to-install Art Guard RF Wireless System using UTC's newly redesigned Simon XT Control Panel and pre-programmed Art Guard RF modules that can be deployed in up to 40 zones. With the addition of an optional repeater, the system can cover a half-mile radius of security. Designed for smaller facilities showing fewer works, including private homes, it offers telephone and computer communication and complete compatibility with the full range of UTC-Interlogix® security sensors. It is user installed and easily expanded.
The affordability of the individual modules ($145 each) and a system of 10 modules and UTC Simon XT Control Panel ($1450) will appeal to any home or institution as a primary security system or continuous back up.
